Renewal of ESIP leadership

On 4 December 2019, during its General Assembly, the European Social Insurance Platform (ESIP) elected its new president, Ilka Wölfle. She succeeds Arnaud Emériau who held the position for the last three years and who will now act as Vice-President.

Reacting to her election, Ilka Wölfle expressed her desire to continue to work closely with national social security institutions to tackle the major challenges ahead, such as the changing world of work, digitalisation, demographic change and the provision of universal care, among others. She will continue to ensure that ESIP remains a strong voice of social security in Europe. She also thanked Arnaud Emériau for his great efforts to increase the membership of ESIP during his presidency, with ten new members gained.
